Here is a view of "Serra de São José", Tiradentes impressive mountain range, a natural wonder, very rich in gold in the past. Today, it is a real trekking paradise.
At the end of the day, clouds over Guanabara Bay. Shot from Botafogo Praia Shopping, this pic shows Botafogo Inlet, Flamengo Park to the left, Urca and Sugar Loaf to the right and, on the other side of Guanabara Bay, on the back, Niterói, Rio's twin-city.
Here is another pic taken from a plane, some minutes before its arrival at Santos Dumont Airport, in Downtown Rio. Guanabara Bay's entrance, Sugar Loaf, Santos Dumont Airport, part of Downtown, part of City's Harbour and some islands can be seen in this panoramic view.
Another flight from Rio to São Paulo, another view of the place where Rio was founded, close to the entrance of Guanabara Bay: Praia de Fora ("Outer Beach"). The Sugar Loaf (to the left), Botafogo Inlet and the districts/beaches of Urca and Botafogo (to the right) can also be seen.
Although situated very close to the place where Rio de Janeiro was founded, in 1565, Urca is a young District, built in a reclaimed land area, at the foot of Sugar Loaf Mountain, in the first decades of the XX Century. Once known for its famous Casino, Urca remains as an amazing and exclusive neighbourhood, one of the best in town. The photo was taken from Urca Hill.
This is another pic taken from Blue Tree Towers Hotel, showing part of Rio Vermelho, a neighbourhood famous for its artists, fishermen, restaurants, hotels and lively night.
Here is Paquetá Island, an idyllic District of Rio in the middle of Guanabara Bay. With some nice beaches and quiet streets, Paquetá is an "oasis" in the big city, a permanent source of inspiration for its poets, artists, tourists and residents.
One of brazilian most beautiful cities, Recife blends rich cultural and historical attractions with fine beaches. Here we can see Boa Viagem, a district famous for its beach... waiting for the rain! I took this pic from a plane, leaving Recife.
I've taken this pic when flying from Rio to São Paulo. Here we can see the place where Rio was founded, in 1565, close to the entrance of Guanabara Bay: Praia de Fora ("Outer Beach"), between the Sugar Loaf (to the left) and the Cara de Cão - "Dog's Face" (to the right) hills. Botafogo Inlet and the districts/beaches of Urca and Botafogo can also be seen.
Another pic taken from a plane flying from Rio to São Paulo: the Sugar Loaf Mountain, at the entrance of Guanabara Bay, in an unusual perspective.
A flight from Rio de Janeiro to São Paulo offers breathtaking views, like this one: an unusual perspective of world famous Sugar Loaf peak (almost 1300 feet high), standing at the entrance of Guanabara Bay.
Antonina is a small town on the shores of Paranaguá Bay, State of Paraná. Once a busy port, today it is just a tourist stop, famous for its portuguese heritage, found in some of the old colonial buildings.
Here is another view of Morretes, showing the Nhundiaquara River old bridge.
Here is another view of the Nhundiaquara River, crossing Morretes, (Low Hills, in Portuguese), a pretty small town situated between the shores of Paranaguá Bay and the slopes of "Serra do Mar" mountain range. Morretes is famous for its delicious typical food, "Barreado".
Morretes (Low Hills, in Portuguese) is a beautiful small town situated between the shores of Paranaguá Bay and the slopes of "Serra do Mar" mountain range. A scenic railroad links the place to Curitiba (Paraná state's capital), above the mountains, and to Paranaguá, a major seaport. This pic shows the Nhundiaquara River, crossing the city.
This is Curitiba, a booming town in Southern Brazil. With more than 3 million people in its Metropolitan Area, this three centennial melting pot city becomes an important industrial center nowadays, famous for its innovative urban projects. This pic, taken from Telepar Tower (357 feet high), shows a part of Curitiba's Downtown.
Here is another view of Corcovado Mountain (710 meters high) and Christ The Redeemer monument, taken from a bus stop. This "Number One" landmark can be seen from (almost) everywhere in town, like this street (Rua Humaitá), a very busy one.
Corcovado Mountain and Christ The Redeemer monument, seen from Laranjeiras Street. I know it's not a good pic by the technical side. Anyway, I liked the composition as a whole and decided to post it... Hope you like it!

Rio's Downtown skyline, seen from the district of Urca.
Sugar Loaf, seen from Botafogo Praia Shopping's terrace.
This is a part of Praia Vermelha (Red Beach), in the district of Urca.

Another view of Our Lady of Glory Cathedral, in Maringá.
After one hour flying from Maringá, the plane is almost arriving in São Paulo... This pic shows an unexpected view of the city vicinities: big water reservoirs and a fringe of rain forest. Keep in mind that São Paulo is a big city, with almost 20 million people in its metropolitan area!
